Minister

BLESS, ENCOURAGE AND GO ALONGSIDE GOD’S PASTORS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
PHILEMON 7, 20, 22

We Believe

  • There are ministers that could last longer in the ministry if someone came alongside them.
  • The wounded should not be shot. Someone should bind their wounds.
  • There are people who want to be a blessing to these servants. They want to help heal, not kill.

Joslin Valley

One of the ways Refresh Ministry wants to minister to pastors, ministers and other pastoral staff, is through the Joslin’s property, which they refer to often as “Joslin Valley.” It is a step outside of the hustle and bustle and into a place of refreshment and renewal.

God allowed the Joslins to build a beautiful log home in 2009 and began setting the stage for this special place to be used for pastors and their families.

Their five-acre property also includes a picnic pavilion with fire pit, a small private study, a great place for a prayer walk, and several places to sit and study or enjoy good conversation.

Some Background

I did my graduate work at Pacific Christian College (Hope International University). In one of the Pastoral Counseling classes, Dr. Rouanzoin had us do an exercise to show us how to help people get beyond their past. During this exercise the man behind me passed out and fell out of his chair. Dr. Rouanzoin said it was because he feared people would know his pain. I can’t help but wonder how many ministers might have the same fear and need a trustworthy mentor.
